Clean Drinking Water Initiative

In Guatemala, most of the rural water sources are contaminated with bacteria and fecal residues, which can cause gastrointestinal diseases such as severe diarrhea. Schoolchildren drink water directly from the tap, and there are no sanitary measures in place to prevent intestinal diseases.

A solution is to provide eco-filters to schools. Eco-filters purify tap water via a natural filtering system made up of clay, activated charcoal, and colloidal silver, removing all micro-organisms and chemicals, including chlorine, bacteria, and parasites.

Our “next generation” team, the Future PF Leaders, raised money to provide nine rural schools with  62 eco-filters so they can offer clean drinking water to 2,573  students, not to mention teachers and administrators.
